PZL Mielec aircraft in the FAA registry
PZL Mielec (Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze), formerly known as WSK-Mielec, is a Polish aerospace manufacturer based in Mielec. It stands as the largest aerospace manufacturer in postwar Poland. The company was acquired by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, now a unit of Lockheed Martin, which retained the brand name. Between 1948 and 2014, PZL Mielec manufactured approximately 15,600 aircraft.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lists aircraft under the registry manufacturer name "WSK-PZL-MIELEC." Data as of 2026-10-16 shows 58 registered PZL Mielec aircraft in the FAA registry. These registrations cover 13 distinct models. All 58 registrations are currently valid.
The fleet consists of 57 fixed-wing single-engine aircraft and one fixed-wing multi-engine aircraft. Engine types include 50 reciprocating engines, 5 turbojets, and 3 turboprops. Airworthiness classes are divided into 31 experimental, 19 restricted, and 1 standard aircraft. Most of these aircraft were built between 1953 and 1996. Half of the fleet was built in 1983 or earlier.
The TS-11 ISKRA is the most common model, with 25 aircraft registered. These were built between 1965 and 1974 and have two seats. The M-18A follows with 14 registrations, built between 1984 and 1996 for two seats. Five M-18 DROMADER aircraft are registered, built between 1980 and 1994 with one seat. Other models include the AN-2 (3 aircraft), MIG-15 UTI (LIM2) (2 aircraft), and PZL-M-18 (2 aircraft).
Texas holds the most registrations with 8 aircraft. Oklahoma and Florida each have 5 registered aircraft. Each model has its own page with specifications, and every aircraft has a registration record by N-number for lookup.
