Data sources
Aircraft: the FAA Releasable Aircraft Database, downloaded every day. Under 49 U.S.C. 44114(b) owners can ask the FAA to withhold their name and address; those records arrive without them and we do not fill them in from anywhere else.
Amateur radio: the FCC Universal Licensing System public access files: the weekly full amateur license file plus the daily transaction files.
How the data is handled
Owner names are shown only for companies and government bodies; individual owners are never stored. Read the privacy policy for the details, the terms of use for what you can rely on, and the contact page for corrections and removal requests.

CheckAero is owned by Semalt and developed by Eugene Serbin. News summaries are written from the official Federal Register document or FAA press release and checked against it by hand before publication; each one links to its source.
