Textron Aviation aircraft in the FAA registry

Textron Aviation Inc. is the general aviation business unit of the conglomerate Textron. It was formed in March 2014 following the acquisition of Beech Holdings, which included the Beechcraft and Hawker Aircraft businesses. The new business unit includes the Textron-owned Cessna.

According to the FAA registry, there are 4,404 registered aircraft under the manufacturer name "TEXTRON AVIATION INC". This figure represents 4,383 valid registrations across 30 distinct models. The data reflects the state of the registry as of 2026-10-16. Most of these aircraft were built between 2015 and 2026, with half of them built in 2021 or earlier. The fleet consists of 2,449 fixed wing single engine aircraft and 1,955 fixed wing multi engine aircraft. Engine types include 2,154 reciprocating, 1,504 turbofan, and 746 turboprop engines. The vast majority, 4,084 aircraft, are classified under the standard airworthiness class.

Delaware leads with 457 registrations, followed by Kansas with 373 and Florida with 352. The most registered model is the 172S, with 1,230 aircraft built between 2016 and 2026. It is followed by the 680A with 401 units, the T206H with 366 units, the 182T with 347 units, the 525C with 258 units, and the 525B with 243 units.

Type certificate data sheets (TCDS) define the airworthiness standards for these models. The TCDS 3A12 covers the 172S, while TCDS T00012WI covers the 680A. The T206H is covered by TCDS A4CE, the 182T by TCDS 3A13, and the 525C by TCDS A1WI. Each model has its own page with specifications and the type certificate data sheet (TCDS). Every aircraft has a registration record by N-number.

Textron Aviation sells Beechcraft and Cessna-branded aircraft. While no longer selling new Hawker airplanes, the company still supports the existing Hawker aircraft fleet through its service centers. Scott Ernest was named the first CEO of Textron Aviation, and Ronald Draper succeeded him in October 2018.
