Sikorsky aircraft in the FAA registry
Sikorsky Aircraft is an American manufacturer based in Stratford, Connecticut. Igor Sikorsky established the company in 1923, and it became one of the first firms to produce helicopters for civilian and military use. The company also built seaplanes and surface vehicles before being sold to Lockheed Martin in November 2015.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registry, the manufacturer name appears as "SIKORSKY." As of October 16, 2026, there are 800 aircraft registered under this name.
