Fleet aircraft in the FAA registry

Fleet Aircraft was a Canadian manufacturer of aircraft from 1928 to 1957. Reuben H. Fleet founded the company in Fort Erie, Ontario, to acquire rights to light trainer aircraft. Consolidated Aircraft bought Fleet Aircraft as a separate division in 1929, forming Fleet Aircraft of Canada in 1930. The company produced aircraft like the Fleet Finch for the Royal Canadian Air Force before ending manufacturing operations in 1957.

According to the FAA registry, data as of 2026-10-16, there are 92 registered aircraft under the manufacturer name "FLEET". These are all fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft powered by reciprocating engines. Ninety-one of these registrations are valid. The fleet consists of nine distinct models. Most of these aircraft were built between 1929 and 1963. Half of them were built in 1930 or earlier.

The most registered models are the Fleet 2 and the Fleet 16B. There are 28 aircraft of model 2, built between 1929 and 1930. The Fleet 16B has 26 registered aircraft, built between 1939 and 1963. Model 7 has 17 registrations, built between 1929 and 1932. Model 1 has 14 registrations, built between 1929 and 1930. Smaller numbers of models 9, 7B, and others complete the list.

Airworthiness classes for these aircraft include standard (75), experimental (3), and restricted (2). Registrations are concentrated in specific states. New York has 12 registered aircraft. Washington and Oregon each have 7.

Type certificate data sheets (TCDS) provide technical specifications for these models. TCDS TC 2-566, held by Fleet Aircraft Ltd., covers the Fleet 16B. TCDS ATC-11, held by The Waco Aircraft Company, covers model 9. Each model page includes its specifications and TCDS. Every aircraft has a registration record by N-number.
