De Havilland aircraft in the FAA registry

The de Havilland Aircraft Company Limited was a British aviation manufacturer established in late 1920 by Geoffrey de Havilland at Stag Lane Aerodrome in North London. The company produced notable aircraft including the Moth biplane, the Mosquito, and the Comet airliner before merging into Hawker Siddeley in 1960. Today, the De Havilland name is owned by De Havilland Canada, which holds rights to aircraft from the former Canadian subsidiary.

According to the FAA registry, data as of 2026-10-16, there are 861 registered aircraft under the manufacturer name "DEHAVILLAND". Of these, 851 have valid registrations across 77 distinct models. The fleet is heavily skewed toward older airframes, with half of the aircraft built in 1956 or earlier. Production for these registered aircraft spans from 1932 to 1997. The majority are fixed-wing single-engine aircraft (690), with 171 fixed-wing multi-engine aircraft. Powerplants include 610 reciprocating engines, 240 turboprops, and 11 turbojets.

Geographically, Alaska holds the most registrations with 248 aircraft, followed by Washington with 77 and California with 46. In terms of airworthiness, 517 are classified as standard, 165 as experimental, and 54 as multiple. The most registered models include the DHC-2 MK. I(L20A) with 91 aircraft, the BEAVER DHC-2 MK.1 with 76, and the DHC-2 with 69. The DHC-3 has 67 registered aircraft, the DHC-6-300 has 59, and the TIGER MOTH DH 82A has 52.

Type certificate data sheets (TCDS) provide the technical standards for these airframes. TCDS A-806 covers the DHC-2 MK. I(L20A), TCDS A-815 covers the DHC-3, and TCDS A9EA covers the DHC-6-300. Each model has its own page with specifications and the type certificate data sheet (TCDS), and every aircraft has a registration record by N-number.
