Culver aircraft in the FAA registry
The Culver Aircraft Company was an American aircraft manufacturer of light aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s. As of October 16, 2026, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registry lists 78 aircraft under the manufacturer name "CULVER." All registered airframes are fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft powered by reciprocating engines. The fleet consists of 76 valid registrations, with the remaining two appearing in the database.
Registered Culver Aircraft by Model
The majority of these airframes date back to the early 1940s, with half built in 1941 or earlier. The LFA model dominates the registry with 38 aircraft, produced between 1940 and 1942. The LCA follows with 27 registered aircraft, also built from 1940 to 1942. Both the LFA and LCA models are covered under Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) A-730, held by Superior Aircraft Company. The V model accounts for 11 registrations, manufactured in 1946, and is listed under TCDS A-778, also held by Superior Aircraft Company. Two PQ-14B aircraft complete the distinct model count.
Airworthiness and Geographic Distribution
Most of the fleet retains standard airworthiness certificates, with 70 aircraft holding this status. Two aircraft are registered under the experimental class, and one holds a limited certificate. Geographically, California leads with 11 registered aircraft, followed by Oklahoma with eight, and Washington with seven. Each registered aircraft has a specific N-number record, and detailed specifications for each model are available through their respective TCDS documents.
